The Journey so far...

Sew It Seamed, Alterations & Designs began in 2012

 

Sew It Seamed, Alterations & Designs designer Patricia Andrews was born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario Canada.  After graduating from Conestoga College's Police Foundations/LASA Program in 2006, Patricia began a career with the City Of Kitchener.  Never fully satisfied with her career Patricia Andrews decided it was time for change.  "I always dreamed of making beautiful garments."



"It was a few days before my 25th birthday.  I can recall thinking to myself that this was the time for change.  I have not looked back since!"

After going back to school and obtaining her credentials in Patternmaking for Garmentry Design in 2011, Patricia quickly started mentoring under others in many fields.  Patricia has experience in all types of garmentry design, repairs, alterations, and several extras including screenprinting and embroidery.

 

Patricia Andrews found herself facing the same challenge continuously since switching careers in 2010.   Lack of employment opportunities within Kitchener-Waterloo in the Arts and sewing industry.  If I was going to stay in Kitchener- Waterloo to pursue my dreams, I would have to create the work myself.
